Nurses

Our two nurses at the surgery run chronic disease clinics such as those for COPD and diabetes, carry out general nursing duties and offer other clinic services such as our well man and well woman clinics.

Healthcare Assistant

Our healthcare assistant is available daily to take patient blood samples as required. This service is available by appointment only - please contact reception to arrange an appointment. The HCA also undertakes a variety of other clinic services for example dressings and ear syringing.

Practice Management

TRACEY RYMER

Practice Manager

Tracey is our Practice Manager and is responsible for the overall operation of the practice. This includes management of all staff in the practice, and patients' complaints. Tracey also looks after all financial matters. In addition, Tracey provides the liaison between the practice and other NHS organisations such as the Hertfordshire and South Midlands Local Area Team, the Integrated Care Boards (ICB) and acute hospital trusts.

RACHEL PRATLEY

Reception Manager

Rachel oversees the day to day running of reception and is the line manger to the reception staff, Rachel has recently taken on the role of Health & Safety officer.

GEMMA HALL

Dispensary Manager Gemma oversees the day to day running of the dispensary and manages the team

Receptionist/Dispensers

The practice receptionists are our patients' first point of contact with the practice and are in charge of the appointment system (all appointments whether made in person or on the telephone should be made through them). They provide a link between the practice and other elements of the health service. Our dispensers co-ordinate the repeat prescribing system under the doctor's supervision. Please ensure any queries relating to medication are made through them on the dedicated telephone line.

Secretaries

Our practice secretaries are responsible for providing secretarial support to all practitioners. If any patient has a query regarding hospital referrals, whether NHS or private, they should be directed to the secretaries.

Community Midwife

Our community midwife holds a regular clinic each week. Please telephone reception to arrange an appointment.

District Nurses

The local district nurses are responsible for the continuing nursing care of patients in their own homes. They carry out their duties whilst liaising closely with the practice. Please contact the surgery to obtain their current contact number.

Health Visitors

Health visitors are responsible for the care of families in the community, children especially from birth up to school age. Please contact the surgery to obtain their current contact number.
