Letter of support from MPs for our planning application
Posted on 11 Feb 2020
Please find below a letter received from Chris Heaton-Harris (MP) and Andrea Leadsom (MP).
The letter says:
Letter of support re: Byfield Medical Centre Planning Application DA/2017/0826
As Members of Parliament for Daventry and South Northamptonshire respectively we wanted to, once again, express our wholehearted support for a new and expanded health facility in Byfield.
Over the last several years we have worked together to support the above proposal in whatever way possible.
In light of this, we were pleased to learn that despite the recommendation of planning officers to refuse the above, Daventry District Council’s Planning Committee have instead deferred the matter, in a decision made on the 15th January in light of overwhelming support from local residents.
We do hope that with further consideration this matter can finally be put to rest and patients in both our respective constituencies can benefit from a much needed, new and improved, medical service on Byfield.
With this in mind, we would like to once again, express our overwhelming support for Byfield Medical Centre. As the meeting on the 15th so clearly showed, residents in the surrounding area feel very strongly on this subject and we would like to echo that sentiment.
We do hope this application will be approved so that the future of local patients can be secured.
Chris Heaton-Harris MP
Member of Parliament for Daventry
Andrea Leadsom MP
Member of Parliament for South Northamptonshire
